Hospitality software modules
worth $26,000.00 has been
donated by a frontline
indigenous IT firm,
ValuePlus based in Abuja to
the National Institutes for
Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR).
The IT firm, ValuePlus
Software Limited in
partnership with IDS
Software Pvt. Limited,
headquartered in Bangalore
South India (a world class
software technology for
hospitality industry),
donated the IDS Fortune
Enterprise Version 4.1-
Property Management System
to improve efficiency in
management systems in
hospitality industries and
mark the beginning of a new
curriculum for students of
hospitality Institutes. |

According to the
President/CEO ValuePlus
software limited, Mr. Paul
Chukwuma, the donation was
necessary because
hospitality industries world
over have improved on their
service delivery, using new
technology and as such, it has
become necessary for students of the
hospitality institutes in Nigeria to
have free access to and knowledge of
this modern technologies in the
hospitality institutes. Mr. Chukwuma
further said, as part of the
company’s’ end of year contribution
to the society, ValuePlus have
decided to donates this valuable
hospitality software not only to the
institutes in Abuja but to all
Hospitality and Tourism Institutes
in Nigeria.
IDS representative at the donation,
Mr. Rajesh Yadav said, IDS has
serviced more than 1500 hotels
across twenty-two (22) countries
providing end-to-end software
solutions for the hospitality
industry and therefore proposed the
fortune – enterprise (GUI) version
4.1,a complete integration of the
reservations, front office, sales &
marketing, point of sales
(restaurant and retail) F&B
management, financial management and
auxiliary modules including
maintenance, activities scheduling,
and purchasing, centralized control
for enhanced data integrity and
security.
The fortune-enterprise software also
enables access for all system users
from a single security
administration screen, a centralized
operations and reporting network
functionality and a host of other
functions.
The Director General of NIHOTOUR Alh.
Munzali Dantata, while acknowledging
the donation, promised a good
working partnership with ValuePlus
Software Limited and expressed his
desire for the software to be able
to address all the bottle-neck
hospitality management problems in
the industry.
